Enrollment Process
Birchwood STEAM and Career Academy will open during the fall of 2025-26. We encourage applicants apply by February 28, 2025, but applications will continue to be accepted until the first day of school. An application is not fully complete until the student and parent(s)/guardian(s) until it is verified by school administration. If there are more applicants than student positions available a lottery will be held for those students who have completed all application requirements by February 28, 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: Students residing outside the Birchwood School District must complete the Out-Of-District Open Enrollment Process by the April deadline window.
Application
Admission is open to all age/grade appropriate students who are residents or whose application under Open Enrollment has been approved by the School Board. Students who qualify for admission will be accepted for enrollment, providing that adequate space is available for the enrollee.
Open Enrollment
Families not living in the Birchwood School District must apply for open enrollment to the district between February 5th and April 30th. To learn more about the state open enrollment process please view the Department of Public Instruction-Public School Open Enrollment site.
